Hell if I know
I thought we were perfect
That fate had given in
As we battled through the storms
We could claim that win
Through the harsh breakers
Our efforts paid out
Now we could be together
Without that shadow of doubt
You brought me joy
You put a flower in my hair
It was the happiest day of my life
But the last day you'd care
My sunshine went out
My universe went dark
When you told me how you felt
You stomped out my heart
I guess I was wrong
To trust and to feel
To hear those words from you
I know that pain is real
I was fine before you
I'll be fine again
Despite your best efforts
This isn't my end
But everywhere I see you
My heart shatters once more
Just the same as that night
Just the same as before
There's a saying I read
About a ship in its home
That a ship is meant to sail
But I guess I'll sail it alone.

The Weight of Words
Words are so heavy,
so saturated,
so useful,
and so unique.
Loaded with meaning,
with purpose,
with value,
and with strength.
Words topple kingdoms,
topple worlds,
topple hatred,
and topple peace.
But nobody sees them,
sees the weight,
the meaning,
or the kingdoms.
Nobody cares anymore,
about truth,
about honesty,
or about honor.
They talk to sway,
to persuade,
to seduce,
or to harm.
With no regard for words,
for their weight,
for their ability,
or for their meaning.
They wield them like tools,
like weapons,
like fetishes,
and like ammo.
It's a sad thing to see them,
so abused,
so misused,
and so light.
They've lost their weight,
lost their meaning,
lost their ability,
and lost their strength.

A Place For Me
Will there ever be,
A place for me,
In someone Else's heart?
I've sent a friend,
to meet their end,
I'll watch it fall apart.
But what of mine,
and my own time,
When's my story start?
I swear I was born,
To wake up every morn,
In a world I'll never fit in.
But that's alright,
I'll kick and I'll fight,
'till I find out where to begin.
I'll live my life,
Possibly traveling light,
Still, I'll be Me, and therefore I win.

They all believe
I'm so unique
I'm floating in the sky!
Above their heads
Frigid crossthreads
Carry my soul so high!
But now, behold!
I've drifted so low
And to the ground go I,
My wings are clipped
My pride is snipped
A plummet and I shall die.

The Spark Who Spoke Like Flame
How can a flame,
Be put to dark,
which in its shame,
is but a spark?
Not yet to burn,
in the time it's had,
but upon itself yearn,
for something so bad.
As if to imply,
it has burnt enough.
Oh, laughably dry,
that ignorant bluff!
Which tries so hard,
Like a book of Luth.
In complete disregard,
for logic and truth.

Another Bad 'Poem'
My heart,
with you,
becomes unglued.
The stoney wall,
is bound to fall,
The bulwark already,
has become unsteady.
My crown, once dull,
Will be bright and full.
:iconlaughingprophet:LaughingProphet 2 0
Bad Fame
Full tilt,
in the dream,
festered guilt,
a silent scream,
Grasp, pull,
run like hell,
never dull,
This roaring bell,
But no,
they don't see,
and so,
it rests in me,
Boiling blood,
'simmer down',
bomb dud,
saved the town,
Stop pain,
start the torture,
bad fame,
this stupid culture.

Your Dampened Bones
Trapped in a cage,
You built for yourself,
the hands they do reach,
They try so hard to help.
Darkness surrounds,
All that you see,
My torch will guide,
But you won't follow me.
The hole is damp,
Wet with depression,
Soaking your bones more,
with each hour of succession.
But you like it there.
With the cage,
with the darkness,
with the dampness.
You like it because you built it.
You built it as a bastion,
to keep the bad things out,
now you are trapped inside,
and fill yourself with doubt.
Hammer and chisel,
loudly I cry,
slamming my hammer,
oh how I try, and try.
To free you from your prison,
you so willingly made,
to give a new reason,
to drop the escapade.
Of sadness and doubt,
self-pity and woe,
of dumping your happiness,
into the dark unkown.
Let it fly free,
for life is so short,
run through the darkness,
don't give in to that sort.
But you are not alone,
we are here for you.
we wish to see passage,
to help you through.
A smile on your lips,
a dance in your step,
don't let it rot

Climb some Trees
Slipping now, slipping now,
Falling down and all around,
The world goes on, but how?
Accepting lies, and to be bound,
Never becoming more the wise,
Because they refuse to ask why,
And so I stand alone,
Clutching to myself,
Grasping what is left of my sanity
For dear life
Why can they not see
That there is no reality,
I would show them but I can't,
Because I don't want Me to.
Because I am a sycophant.
Play so nice like I always do,
But I just want freedom like you
Break the mold and climb a tree
Jump up and visit the sun
It doesn't matter to me
It's this world you know,
Too solid, not enough vision
Dry and blind, white with snow
No other colors pervade
Despite the existence of a spectrum
So dark thoughts, they invade
And I am barred from the stardom.

Promises, Promises
Should you find yourself,
awake at night,

then never fear,
For I will always,

Stars in the Daylight
As bright a star in the cloak of night,
Burns as well in the sun's light,
whether felt in your embrace,
Or a gentle kiss upon your face,
It still remains to be seen,
What it is to really mean,
The words that pour from fingertips,
Like rivers of promise upon my lips,
I speak in subtle tones of hope,
That it may reveal my antidote,
To this tugging heart,
This pulling pain,
So that I may sleep again,
Without worry, or remorse,
We may set our graceful course,
And leaving shoal, we find the sea,
And perhaps as well who we will be,
Together then, side by side,
We journey the great divide,
To settle down on alien shores,
And be united in our chores,
Tonight, those stars you do see,
Allow yorself to think of me,
As many times I of you,
Stare into that sky of blue,
Because I know beyond that veil,
The stars are bright with how I feel,
So do the same, my closest friend,
And we may yet begin the end.

Butterfly Against a Hurricane
Thunderstorms on a distant plain,
characters of my woozy brain,
confused spirals over myriad fields,
littered with colors that touch,
the fabric within.
Like a tapestry of woven cloth,
various pictures all stuck to form,
one single picture that neither,
has cohesion nor reason,
jumbled mixtures of emotions,
some happy, some sad,
some that don't move,
and in the end they all sing,
the same tune over and over,
insisting that this is right,
but shouting about why it's wrong,
they say everything but nothing,
and I'm still left,
with nothing.
Useless gestures of kindness,
like a butterfly attempting,
to fly against a hurricane.

Random Ramblings of Redaction
I'd promise you the world,
If I thought it'd win your heart,
Just to see the twinkle in your eye,
I'd know I've done my part.
If all the things I could do,
Would bring you here to stay,
I'd give myself unconditionally,
To see you every day.
But the world is harsh,
She breeds pain,
And so I wait alone, looking for a way,
To show you all the pretty words,
I say to you are true,
And let you know I'm here for you,
No matter what you do.
Frustration breeds in the mind,
But the heart knows only love,
Out of the depths, into the sun,
We will rise above,
I'll carry you on wings of joy,
And show you what we can be
But only if it these things I say
will truly make you happy.
I am a selfish thing.
As aren't we all?
But I am trying -
so you know-
To be a better man,
Just for this, one little chance,
to take yours into my hand.

I'm too full of hope, even after setting my self up for disappointment so many times. I always come bounding back, looking for another try. Like water I flow the river of life, bending, breaking, but always moving forward. I tend to cling, I let things go. And when that times comes I want you to know: If I met you once, talked to you twice, and we got along, pretty nice. I want you to know you left a mark in this river, a mark that will never fade, but never scars... It's there in the surface, with all the rest. Each as precious as the next, this forever, I want you to know. In my heart, heavy as it is, no matter where I flow, you're always with me.

Personal Quote: By society's accepted definition of insanity, society is insane. Ironic.
This show really needs a shout out, because I don't feel it has a huge following yet, and it damn well should!  It's called Sword Art Online, and it's a lot like .hack, but it definitely does its own unique stuff and should in no way be be labeled a copy cat of that series.

Crunchyroll Link:…

In the year 2022, the Virtual reality Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (VRMMORPG) Sword Art Online (SAO) is released. With the Nerve Gear, a virtual reality Helmet that stimulates the user's five senses via their brain, players can experience and control their in-game characters with their minds.

On November 6, 2022, all the players log in for the first time, and discover that they are unable to log out. They are then teleported to a place where Kayaba Akihiko, the creator of SAO, issues them a challenge; if they wish to be free and log out of the game, they must reach the 100th floor of the game's tower and defeat the final boss. However, if their avatars die in game, their bodies will also die in the real world. The story follows Kirito, a skilled player who is determined to beat the game.

Kirito, playing on the 74th floor of the game, develops a love interest with a female player called Asuna. Eventually, Kirito becomes part of Asuna's guild 'Knights of the Blood Oath' after losing a duel with its leader Heathcliff and they marry and travel back to the 22nd floor for some time together.

The light novel series spans several virtual MMORPGs, not exclusively the titular world of Sword Art Online.

Sword Art Online
The first virtual game world, and the setting of the first and second novels of the series. It consists of a giant floating castle called Aincrad, with 100 floors in it, each of which contains a slightly different medieval setting and dungeon with a boss. If the boss is killed the players can proceed to the next floor. It is turned into a death game by its creator Kayaba Akihiko in hopes of creating a true virtual reality. It implements a level based system. Thus, in cases where players with an overwhelming difference in levels face off, one side could very well be invincible compared to the other side
