Sword Art Online

This show really needs a shout out, because I don't feel it has a huge following yet, and it damn well should! It's called Sword Art Online, and it's a lot like .hack, but it definitely does its own unique stuff and should in no way be be labeled a copy cat of that series.

PLOT:
In the year 2022, the Virtual reality Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (VRMMORPG) Sword Art Online (SAO) is released. With the Nerve Gear, a virtual reality Helmet that stimulates the user's five senses via their brain, players can experience and control their in-game characters with their minds.
On November 6, 2022, all the players log in for the first time, and discover that they are unable to log out. They are then teleported to a place where Kayaba Akihiko, the creator of SAO, issues them a challenge; if they wish to be free and log out of the game, they must reach the 100th floor of the game's tower and defeat the final boss. However, if their avatars die in game, their bodies will also die in the real world. The story follows Kirito, a skilled player who is determined to beat the game.
Kirito, playing on the 74th floor of the game, develops a love interest with a female player called Asuna. Eventually, Kirito becomes part of Asuna's guild 'Knights of the Blood Oath' after losing a duel with its leader Heathcliff and they marry and travel back to the 22nd floor for some time together.
SETTING:
The light novel series spans several virtual MMORPGs, not exclusively the titular world of Sword Art Online.

It consists of a giant floating castle called Aincrad, with 100 floors in it, each of which contains a slightly different medieval setting and dungeon with a boss. If the boss is killed the players can proceed to the next floor. It is turned into a death game by its creator Kayaba Akihiko in hopes of creating a true virtual reality. It implements a level based system. Thus, in cases where players with an overwhelming difference in levels face off, one side could very well be invincible compared to the other side

I don't even know what to write here, but that last journal got a bit silly.
Updates, I guess. For those who read them. I've mostly quit SL(finally!). I'll really only be on when a certain someone is on, or if someone ASKS me personally to get on for something. Otherwise, I wipe my hands of the whole thing. It's been a long time coming, anyway.
Can't wait for the TERA beta this weekend. Phase 2 commencing, and I'mma be there slashing it up like a bawse.
Planetside 2 beta should be coming up soon, too! Excited more for that than the release of Mass Effect 3, which is also going to be awesome.
I do a Live stream thing every now and then of random stupid things, but it'll mostly be just of TERA and Planetside while I still can.
I plan on getting a new computer sometime soon. This laptop served well for three years, and still handles modern games like a boss, but as all things, it's a bit dated. Getting to the point where I might just buy a new tower. Preferably an ASUS. No, definitely an ASUS.
Classes going well. We just finished Nortel, which was the 'hardest' course according to the instructors. Blew through it fairly well, actually. It was all programming phone switches, which is my area of expertise so I had a blast there.
Getting station in Virginia again, so that's good. Back to the East coast, back with family. Goodness all around there.

DEEP AS FUCK

I don't know why, but one memory... One moment of me, of my existence fights its way to the front of my mind..
I was in Virginia. Years ago. I'm young, very young, maybe four or five. Living with Mom. Virginia Beach area. It's cold out. We live in an apartment. We're living on food stamps, in what can be considered a neighborhood complex barely above a ghetto. I'm bouncing a basketball on the back porch. There's a grill burning near me, and bikes along with other clutter.
I was watching something, an animal, maybe. Or just staring out into the night at my own mind's creations. It's very dark. I can barely see anything out there.
Suddenly something hits my chin. It was the basketball. I taste blood, and open my mouth to realize my tooth is missing now. It had been loose for a while.
I start to cry. But not because it hurt. I've had much worse, and this barely registered at all. I'm crying, but I don't know why. My mom comes out and helps me, and everything is okay again.
I didn't know why, but this memory always remained with me for years... It's one of the more vivid memories I have.
I think I see now, why I was crying. Whether that's why it's remained with me or not, I don't know. But I think it was because I lost something of myself. It was the shock of the tooth being gone, something I would never be able to replace or get back - a part of me. And now it's gone. I'll never see that tooth again.
Just like that, it was gone from my life, and I never even thought about it until now. I can't say I'd want it back, but to realize now, how it had simply just... Stopped existing. But it's still a part of me that has been lost. Like so many other things. So, so many other things that it's depressing.
That's why I don't think about it, shove it down and swallow my fear. I put on a face of bliss while festering in my pool of regret and self-doubt. My confidence is a sham, as you've probably seen. A facade I put on to go play with the real world. It hurts and at the same time brings an air of calm.
I've lost so much of myself, and if I stopped to think about it, which I jusst have, I would break down. I think I am breaking down. But it'll pass. I don't attach to things too often. This will be like the others. I'll feel the pain, in my chest, more precisely my heart. And then the next day my mind will shove it back down, and it will have been a cloud passing overhead.
